Connie Sue Moreland, age 76, a longtime Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Sunday, January 29, 1950, to Kenneth and Helen Louise (Johnson) Allen, at Okmulgee, OK. Connie passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at her home in Atoka, OK. She graduated from Tushka High School and then went on to SOSU where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1999. Connie was a school teacher and worked for several schools, Atoka, Lane, Durant and Calera. She married I.B. Moreland on Thursday, December 8th, 1966 at Sherman, TX. They celebrated 59 years of marriage before her passing. Connie was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Atoka. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, listening to music and playing the piano.
Connie is survived by her husband, I.B. Moreland of the home in Atoka, OK; son, Ben Moreland of Atoka, OK; daughter, Angela Horn and husband Jamison of Harrah, OK; grandchildren, Shelby Horn of Harrah, OK, Alex Horn of Harrah, OK, Dawson Moreland of Grayling, MI, Dessie Moreland of Atoka, OK, William Horn of Harrah, OK; 1 great grandson on the way; sister, Lou Ann Hand of Kingston, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Helen Louise (Johnson) Allen; son, Isacc Brian Moreland ; brothers, Kenny Allen, Doug Allen.
