OBITUARY

Cora Wynell Chism, age 92, an Atoka, OK resident was born on Friday, July 16, 1926, to William Tolbert and Bertha (Allmon) Chism, at Stonewall, OK. Cora passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Atoka, OK. She was 92 years, 2 months and 4 days. Cora graduated from Atoka High School and received a bachelor's degree and master's degree in chemistry at OCW.  She was a teacher and taught school for 30 years in California and Oklahoma. Cora was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.  She enjoyed animals and reading.

Cora is Survived by her sister, Sarah McNeil and husband Leon of Atoka, OK; nephew, Dennis McNeil and wife Teresa of Atoka, OK; great nieces, Shannon Kennedy and husband Bryan of Hennessey, OK, Crystal Cathey and husband Brian of Atoka, OK, Mindy Leary and husband Rob of Colorado, Cathey Griffin and husband Steve of Dallas, TX, Lonna Webster and husband David of Dallas, TX, Dusty King and husband Jeff of Howe, TX; great great nephews, Jacob Kennedy of  Hennessey, OK, Ezra Leary of Colorado, Will Herrscher and J.T. Herrscher of Dallas, TX; great great nieces, Katie Kennedy of Hennessey, OK, Evelyn Leary of Colorado. Landrey and Lawsyn King of Howe, TX, Elizabeth Griffin Wildberger and husband Ryan of  Dallas, TX; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Cora is Preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha (Allmon) Chism; brothers, J.D. Chism, Tolbert Chism, Gene Chism; sisters, Edna Fitzgerald, Lorraine Haggard; nephews, Lynn McNeil, Joe Haggard, Ran Haggard, Hoss Fitzgerald, Harold Gene Chism; great niece, Krissi Jo Haggard
