D. J. Goodson, age 78, a McLoud, OK resident, was born on Thursday, June 13, 1935, to Charlie and Eva Francis (Hammond) Goodson, at Lane, OK. D.J. passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at McLoud, OK. He attended Lane school and Atoka High School. D. J. then worked in the oilfield, as a Car salesman, and for the Wildlife Department. He also worked some time as the Service Manager at Harmon Jones Ford, at Pete's Pawn Shop, owned Joyce's Western Wear and tended bar at Joyce's Bar. D. J. proudly served his country in The U.S. Army, during his army career he was electrocuted and burned. D.J. liked fast cars, country music, dancing, raising hogs, gardening, fishing, hunting squirrels, and rodeos. D. J. is survived by his daughter, Dee Ann Offill and husband Mark Alan of McLoud, OK.; grandchildren, Tana Lee Offill and Cooper Alan Offill of McLoud, OK.; brothers, Billy Wayne Goodson and wife Billie Faye of Lane, OK., Charles Dale "Tooter" Goodson and wife Jerri of Lovingtion, NM.; brother-in-law, Carl Turner of Lane, OK.; mother of his child, Wanda Sue (Beal) Davis of McLoud, OK.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
