Da'Mani Josue Brooks, age 6, an Atoka, OK resident was born on Thursday, June 28, 2012, to Carlos Mondragon and Carrie Cheyenne Nicole Brooks at Durant, OK. Da'Mani passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Norman, OK. He attended school in Pauls Valley for a short time, which he loved. Da'Mani was a student. Da'Mani loved watching Elmo and Veggie Tales, loved being held and cuddled, and talked to. He was a victim of Cerebral Palsy and was never able to walk or play outside with his friends and family.

Da'Mani is survived by his mother, Carrie Brooks of Atoka, OK, father, Carlos Mondragon of Mexico; maternal grandparents, Tim Brooks and wife YoLonda of Atoka, OK; paternal grandfather, Josue Alvarez of Mexico; maternal grandmother, Michelle Allen of Durant, OK; uncle, Timmie Brooks  and wife Starla of Ada, OK; aunts, Khadjah Brooks of Atoka, OK, Daysha Bennett of Atoka, OK; great aunts, Patsy Brooks of Atoka, OK, Rosemary Brooks of Atoka, OK, Dina Brooks of Atoka, OK; great uncles, Carl Brooks of Atoka, OK, Raymond Brooks of Atoka, OK, Joe Bill Greenwood of Atoka, OK; cousins, Marcus Brooks of Atoka, OK, Asayiah Brooks of Atoka, OK, Noemi Brooks of Atoka, OK, Damarus Brooks of Atoka, OK, Nataya Brooks of Atoka, OK; along with numerous other relatives, and may dear and loved friends.
