Danny Wayne Golden, Sr., 69, of Blanco, Oklahoma, passed away on July 10, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 2, 1957, in Coalgate, Oklahoma, to Roy Lee Golden and Druecella Marie (Robinson) Golden.

Danny worked as an owner/operator and truck driver for several trucking companies throughout his career. He also worked in construction, helping build several overpasses from Dallas to Houston, and spent time working on a shrimping boat. He attended Caney High School through the 12th grade and later attended trade school. Danny was of the Baptist faith and often listened to the Baptist radio station. In his earlier years, he attended Caney Baptist Church. He loved gardening, working on mechanics, talking, and telling stories. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and animals. In his younger years, he loved fishing and spent much of his life working. Danny was known for creating custom inventions, many of which can still be found around his yard today. As a truck driver, he enjoyed seeing the country from behind the wheel of his semi. While traveling, he was known to have a bit of a lead foot. Although New York and California were not among his favorite destinations, he always loaded up and went wherever the job took him. Florida was one of his favorite places to travel.

He is survived by his son, Danny Wayne Golden II of Michigan; daughter, CaSandra Golden of Haileyville, OK; son, Thomas Hawk Golden of Kiowa, OK; grandchildren, Danny Wayne Golden III of Crowder, OK, Paige Watson and husband George of Crowder, OK, Dekota Stopp of McAlester, OK, Derren Stopp of Haileyville, OK, Eli Golden of Kiowa, OK, Bradley Golden of Kiowa, OK, and Kaleb Golden of Kiowa, OK; niece, Bambie Danley and Phillip Danley of Blanco, OK; nephew, Mark Myers II of Blanco, OK; great grandchildren, Ethan Watson, Bennet Golden; along with numerous other extended family members and dear friends.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee Golden; his mother, Druecella Marie (Robinson) Golden; his sister, Kathy Myers; his brother-in-law, Teddy Myers; and many other beloved family members.

Family Night will be held Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Atoka.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Perkins Cemetery in Caney, Oklahoma.
