David Durant

Robert "David" Durant, age 70, a longtime Lane, OK resident. He was born on Thursday, June 21, 1956, to Glen Charles and Patricia Ann (Jennings) Durant, at Sand Springs, OK. David passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at his home east of Lane, OK surrounded by his loved ones. He graduated from Atoka High School. David was a mechanic for himself all of his life and was also a lifelong rancher and bulldozer operator. David proudly served his country in The U.S. Army.He met the love of his life, Sherry in June of 2009, they enjoyed over 17 years together before his passing. David loved playing with his great grandkids, riding his Harley, bulldozing, dancing, going on vacations, exploring caves and working on the farm and fighting with his brother Brent. he never met a stranger and would talk to anyone and loved to tell stories.

David is survived by the love of his life, Sherry of the home in Lane, OK; brothers, Brent Durant and wife Celia of Crystal, OK, Mark Durant and wife Pam of Crystal, OK; children, Glen Durant and Alexander of Dallas, TX, Erin Durant of Lane, OK, Amy Couch and Clinton of Ashland, OK, Kerry Rector of Lane, OK, Mindy Rector and Nick of Caney, OK; grandchildren, Kane Frazier, Callie Sills and River, Cech Helms, Lane Couch, Teague Watson and Maylin, Lyelee Frazier and Isaac, Keely King and Preston, Creek Helms and Taitum, Jaylee Jones, Charllee Couch, Treydan Rector, Tripp Watson, Benton Rector; great grandchildren, Raynee, Molly B., Rein, Cadley, Jagger, Nash; nephew, Brian Durant and Ashlee; nieces, Stacy George and Kris, Nicky Guilbeau and Ethan; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Glen Charles and Patricia Ann (Jennings) Durant; great grandson, Aceton Caudill.
