David Ralph Estes, age 74, a Crystal, OK resident was born on Tuesday, September 16, 1947, to Ralph and Stella Mae (Booth) Estes, at Flint, MI. David passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Atoka, OK. He attended Jr. High at Whittier Jr. High in Flint, MI. David went to Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana. He attended Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. He attended and graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, Illinois in 1974. David was a retired Lutheran Pastor after retiring from the ministry David served in the Salvation Army in South Carolina. He married Susan Louise Kramer on June 14, 1969, in Moline, IL and later married Sheila Ann (Nelson) Milam on October 14, 2017, in Pilot Point, TX. David is a life member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and pastor in Iowa and Michigan. After coming to Oklahoma he became affiliated and a member of Lane Baptist Church. He loved to use the chainsaw, clearing land, fishing and golfing. David loved to play the trumpet in the band. He also liked to go RVing and traveling.
David is survived by his wife, Sheila Estes of Crystal, OK; daughter, Rebecca Susan Wilburn and husband Danny Lee of Valparaiso, IN; son, Philip Estes and wife Holly of Prosper, TX; step daughters, Holly, Allison, Angela; grandchildren, Rachel Wilburn, Jackson Wilburn, Nathaniel Estes, Madeline Estes, Lucas McCleary, Maxwell McCleary, Jason McCleary; step grandchildren, James, Anna Lise, Jonathan, Madison, Grace, Amelia and Aerin; sister, Julie Staple of Toledo, OH.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Stella Mae (Booth) Estes; step son, Don-Eric Milam; brother-in-law, Edward Staple.
