Obituary

Delbert Lee White, age 86, a Coalgate, OK resident, was raised around the Kenefic area but lived in Oklahoma, Mississippi and Texas. He was born on Wednesday, November 4, 1936, to James "Buck" Hilbert and Velma (White) White, at Hinton, OK. Delbert passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Shawnee, OK. He graduated from Kenefic High School, then joined the Navy. Delbert worked for National Cash Register (NCR) for 25 years and was a minister the rest of his life. Delbert proudly served his country in The U.S. Navy. He married Mary Carolyn (Dunagan) on Friday, December 2nd, 1960 at Shallowater, TX. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before his passing. Delbert was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God in Coalgate and was affiliated with Caney Pentecostal Holiness Church. He served 4 years as City Councilman, 2 years as Mayor at Ft. Gibson, OK, was active in the Coal Co. Ministerial Alliance, served as minister for Pentecostal Church of God, pastored nine churches, including: Muskogee, OK, Texoma, OK, Wewoka, OK, Byhalia, MS, Centrahoma, OK, Greenville, MS, Elmore city, OK, James Crossing, MS and the last 16 years at Coalgate Gospel Lighthouse. He evangelized the rest of his life.
Delbert is survived by his wife, Mary Carolyn White of the home in Coalgate, OK; children, Darren White and wife Rebecca of Seminole, OK, Teresa "Teri" Dallis and husband Ronnie of Ft. Gibson, OK; grandchildren, Miranda Dallis and boyfriend Derrick Able of Muskogee, OK, Jeremy Dallis of Muskogee, OK, Jason Dallis and wife Blaire of Piedmont, OK, Jonathan Dallis of Lowell, AR, Robbie Rocha and wife Tina of Durant, OK, Andrea Duran and husband Orlando of Calera, OK, Marc Rocha and fiancé Brandie of Colbert, OK, Justin White of Tulsa, OK, Leah White of Northern, CA, Lindsy Jones and husband Landon of Seminole, OK; great grandchildren, Austyn, Gaige, Karson, Madisyn, Hudsyn, Hayden, Ray, Dean; sister, Joyce Strickland of Caddo, OK; brother, Carl White of Arlington, TX; son in law, Louis Rocha of Durant, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, J.H. "Buck" and Velma White; siblings, Harvey White, Gail Shaw, Lily Dove, Henry White, James White; daughter, Lisa Carol White Rocha; brothers in law, Bill Dove, Ed Strickland; sister in law, Diane White.
