Delois Jean Owens, age 62, an Oklahoma City, OK resident. She was born on Saturday, August 12, 1961, to Sandy Lee and Irene (Riley) Nichols, at Hayti, MO. DeLois passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Oklahoma City, OK. She graduated from Atoka High School. Delois worked in Home Health as an LPN for 30+ years. She married Albert Owens III at Oklahoma City, OK.
Delois attended Wildwood Christian Church. She liked watching the Lifetime Channel, attending Church Services, running track, playing basketball, and playing for the Hot Chocolates softball team. She loved sitting on the porch, playing bingo, going to the casino, and eating her Lemon-Lime Salt on ice with a Pepsi. Delois enjoyed laughing and dancing, listening to music while she cleaned, and loved playing and taking care of her fur baby, Myla.
Delois is survived by her only child, Ashley Kristena Owens; brother, Michael Louis Nichols; sisters, Sandra West, Kasandra Nichols-Strickland; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many dear and loved friends.
Delois was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ben and Rosie; parents, Sandy and Irene (Riley) Nichols; husband, Albert Owens III; sisters, Dorothy Jean Nichols, Patricia Ann (Nichols) Rice, Janice Kay (Nichols) Walker, Mattie Nichols; brothers, Robert James Nichols "Bucky", Charles Brown Riley "Pappy", Willie James Riley; nieces, Dominique Nichols, Shantell Dawn Shield "Shank"; nephew, Rickey Tyler Rice.
