Lolly Dessie Henry, age 85, a longtime Caney, OK resident since 1960. She was born on Monday, April 29, 1940, to Charles Winston and Edith Frances (Sluder) Phillips, at Bokchito, OK. Dessie passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at her home in Caney, OK surrounded by her loved ones. She attended Bokchito Public Schools and received her CNA certification from Kiamichi VoTech.  Dessie was a housewife and homemaker, she also worked at Colonial Manor for several years and worked 15 years at Atoka Truck Stop. She married William Franklin Henry on Tuesday, June 11th, 1957 at Sherman, TX. They celebrated over 30 years of marriage before William's passing on September 21, 1987. Dessie continued to be married to the love of her life until the day she passed making over 68 years together.  Dessie was a member of Mt Carmel Baptist Church. She enjoyed, fishing, smoking and drinking coffee, camping, traveling (she has been in most states in the U.S.), loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and loved her "dang" chickens and her grandson's horse.
Dessie is survived by her children, Terry Lynn Henry of Caney, OK, Peggy Sue Weger and husband Allan of Caney, OK, Rita Gale Woolf and husband Eugene of Caney, OK,  Charlotte Boley of Caney, OK; grandchildren, Larry William Henbest, Cody Woolf, Billy Henry, Michael Tyler Madding, Rusty Shane Henry, Kevin Bryan Henry, Brandon Henry, Tracy Henry, Ashley Henry, Jessica Henry, Dessie Rose Henbest, Sammy Joe Stoner, Staci Lynn Woolf, Mykayla Cheyenne Grist, Jacob Grist, Casey  Henry, CJ Bradford; 7 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Phillips of Mead, OK; sister, Betty Sue Gilbert of Atoka, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Dessie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Edith Phillips; husband, William Franklin Henry; children, Richard Dale Henry, Martha Louella Henbest, Silas Gilbert Henry; brothers, Chock Collums, Raymond Collums; sisters, Hazel Allen, Martha Smith, Imogene Heflin, Bonnie Phillips, Beatrice Ladd, Nettie Mae Kelly.
