Diane D. Billings, age 63, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, September 10, 1950, to Victor and Vernia Ann (Baughman) Downing, at Atoka, OK. Diane passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at her home in Atoka. Diane graduated from Atoka High School in 1968. She then attended Oklahoma State University where she received her Bachelor's in Education in 1972. She then received a Master's Degree in Education from UCO in 1980. During her life, Diane was a special education teacher for 35 years. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Atoka where she played the organ and piano for over 40 years. Diane was an avid fan of Oklahoma State football and basketball. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Diane is survived by her son, Marc Billings and wife Crista of Albuquerque, NM.; granddaughter, Catherine Elissa Billings of Albuquerque, NM.; brother, Darrell Downing and wife Kim of Norman, OK.; nephews, Jason Downing of Tacoma, WA., Parker Kugler of Guthrie, OK., Cole Kugler of Norman, OK.; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
