July 9, 1939 – November 14, 2022
Dolan Dwain Willis, age 83, a Caddo, OK resident area, formerly lived in Grand Prairie, TX for 36 to 38 years, was born on Sunday, July 9, 1939, to Jewell and Lorena Mae (Glasscock) Willis, at Wesley, OK. Dolan passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Durant, OK. He attended Harmony Grade School and graduated from Atoka High School as Valedictorian and then went on to attend Southeastern State University. Dolan was a lead aircraft mechanic and inspector for Vought Aircraft starting in 1967 and retiring in 1999 after 34 years. Dolan proudly served his country in the Army and The U.S. Air Force where he was an Airman Third Class during the Vietnam Era. He married Glenda (Jack) on Monday, July 20th, 1964 at Lane, OK. They celebrated 58 years of marriage before his passing. Dolan was a member of Voca Baptist Church of Caney, OK and of Trailwood Baptist in Grand Prairie, TX. He started Boggy Depot Classic Car Club as he loved car shows, was founder of Grand Prairie High School Rodeo Team, enjoyed hunting, fishing, writing history on Facebook and in the Atoka County Times, and loved spending time with his family.
Dolan is survived by his wife, Glenda Willis of the home in Caddo, OK; children, Kenneth Willis of Voca, OK, Lester Willis of Mena, AR, David Willis and wife LaDonna of Waxahachie, TX, Cindy Willis of Tushka, OK; grandchildren, Brandon Willis, Justin Willis, Christopher Willis, Crystal Willis, Johnathan Willis, Jeremy Willis, Joseph Willis, Dakota Denison, Christian Denison, Chance Denison; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Lois Woods of Atoka, OK, Joyce Cullum of Dallas, TX; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Dolan was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell and Lorena Mae (Glasscock) Willis; brothers, Bobby Willis, Baby Brother Willis.
