AGE: 77 years, 6 months and 7 days. EDUCATION: He attended school in Norman, OK and Grandbury, TX. Don graduated from OU where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. OCCUPATION: Don was employed as a golf professional and assistant at Westwood Country Club in Norman, OK; Shady Oaks Country Club, Dallas, TX; and Colonial Country Club, Ft. Worth, TX; head pro at DeCordova Bend Estates Golf Club in Granbury, TX; took personal instruction from Ben Hogan. He was also employed at CFI Trucking Company of Dallas and owned Smith's Cleaning Village in Norman. MILITARY: Don proudly served his country in The United States Army. MARRIED: He married Rhea Rivet (Buckner) in 1965 at Dallas, TX. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Don was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid golfer, loved flying and aviation; all sports (was on his college wrestling team), especially OU Sooners. Don was also a nature lover.
