BORN: He was born on July 31, 1936 to Sam Jones Grist and Echo Cornelia Morris Grist at Konoma, OK. PASSED AWAY: Don passed away on January 8, 2010 at his residence in Atoka, OK. AGE 73 YEARS 3 MONTHS AND 8 DAYS EDUCATION: He attended school in Antlers, OK OCCUPATION: Don has been a long haul trucker and a correctional officer for McLeod, McAlester, Stringtown and Lexington prisons. MARRIED: Don was married to Georgie Parker on Nov, 4. 1964 at Mena, AK CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES, AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS Don was of the Baptist faith. Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the local D.A.V. and was very active as an advocate for veteran's rights. He also loved to run heavy equipment and build roads and clear timber.
