Donnie Gene Powell, age 78, a longtime Lane, OK resident, was born on Friday, October 17, 1941, to Elmer and Pearl (Dodson) Powell, at Kiowa, OK. Donnie passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at his home in Lane, OK. He graduated Daisy Public School and Atoka High School. Donnie was a plumber for many years. Donnie proudly served his country in the Army. He enjoyed spending time with his family, he and his daughter were members of Atoka Trail Riders in the 2000's.
Donnie is survived by his brothers, Noel Powell and wife Bonnie of Atoka, OK, Bill Powell of Washington; companion and best friend, Shawn Montgomery and her children of Atoka, OK; sons, Donnie Powell and wife Sandy of California, Kenny Powell of California, Ricky Powell of California; mother of his children, Katherine Karr of California; along with grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Pearl (Dodson) Powell; brothers, RJ Powell and wife Vera, Glenn Powell and wife Barbra, Ray Powell and wife Mary, Joe Powell and wife Carolyn, Jack Powell and wife Clessie; sister in law, Gloria Powell.
