Dorothy Joan (Kendall) Reeder, age 88, a Wapanucka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, September 2, 1934, to Oscar and Lizzie (Mann) Kendall, at Concordia, KS, where she grew up before moving to Wapanucka about 70 years ago. Dorothy passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Durant, OK.
She attended High School in Kansas. Dorothy was a housewife and worked as a home health nurse. She married J.G. Reeder on October 9, 1951 at Kansas, they spent 41 wonderful years together before his passing in 1992. Dorothy was a member of Wapanucka Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking her famous donuts for her kids and grandkids, loved her flowers, liked to fish when she could, and loved her fur babies.
She is survived by her children, Joe Reeder and wife Jo of Conneville, OK, Bruce Reeder of Wapanucka, OK, Tommy Reeder of Wapanucka, OK, Robert Reeder of Wapanucka, OK, Cordie Spradlin of Gore, OK, Nora Jean Glance and husband Terry of Sulphur, OK; brother, Oliver 'Ink' Kendall of Center Valley, KS; sisters, Maggie Reeves of Assirea, KS, Vona Michelle Dotson of Decature, AL; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dearly loved friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lizzie (Mann) Kendall; husband, J.G. Reeder; children, Bimbo J.G. Reeder Jr., David Eugene Reeder; sisters, Betha Edith Kendall, Alice Lavenia Garst, Katheryn Sarah Olsen, Cecil Minnie Midoux, Stella Irene Green, Maudie Smith; brothers, Edward William Kendall, Oscar John Kendall
