Obituary

Dorothy Ann (Smith) Miller, age 83, a longtime Lane, OK resident, was born on Tuesday, July 14, 1936, to Ernest W. and Winifred Dee (Bailey) Smith, at Ravenna, OH. Dorothy passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Atoka, OK. She graduated from High School in Tallmadge, OH. Dorothy was a homemaker and housewife. She married Jack D. Miller on September 13, 1969 at Kansas City, KS. They have enjoyed 50 years together. Dorothy was a Christian and attended Church of the Rock in Lane. She was very proud of being a certified wildlife rescue and rehabilitator. Dorothy loved crocheting, sewing, gardening, canning, and taught her children how to sew. She loved riding and showing horses.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Jack D. Miller of the home in Lane, OK; children, Cindy Dalke and husband David of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Linda Peterson and husband Rick of Topeka, KS, Cathy Collins and husband Darren of Langley, OK, Cheryl Wagner and husband Doug of Emporia, KS, Beth Mitchell of Angus, TX,  Joshua Miller and wife Jennifer of Crystal, OK; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and another coming soon; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest W. and Winifred Dee (Bailey) Smith; brother, Jerry Smith; sister, Ernestine Blakney.
