Edgar Hiatt George, age 87, an Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Thursday, August 5, 1937, to Monroe Jerome and Nadine Elizabeth (Yarbrough) George, at Muskogee, OK. Ed passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his home in Atoka, OK. He attended Stidham Grade School and graduated from Eufaula High School with the Class of 1955. Ed was a lifelong 3rd generation Rancher. He married Deborah Kay (Phillips) on Tuesday, June 3rd, 1986 at Atoka, Oklahoma. They have enjoyed 38 years of marriage together before his passing. Ed was a member of the Victory Life Church of Atoka, OK, First Baptist Church of Eufaula, OK, and a Mason of the 32nd Lodge in Eufaula, OK. He enjoyed reading his westerns and loved traveling with his wife Debbie. In his earlier years Ed was a proud member of the PRCA as a bulldogger.
Ed is survived by his wife, Deborah Kay George of the home in Atoka, OK; daughters, Beth George Williams of Oxnard, CA, Sharla George Beebe of Eufaula, OK; son, Steve George of Atoka, OK; stepsons, Sean Bond of Owasso, OK, Clint Bond and wife Marci of Atoka, OK; grandson, Jason Sachs of Timber Cove, CA, Dakota Beebe of Eufaula, OK, Ethan Beebe of Checotah, OK; granddaughter, Emma Bond of Haskell, OK, Ellie Bond of Owasso, OK, Ethan Bond of Owasso, OK, Sidney Loftin of Atoka, OK, Sunny Moore of Tyler, TX; great granddaughter, Raci Summerlin of Eufaula, OK, Clara Beebe of Eufaula, OK, Ever Hiatt Beebe of Checotah, OK; great grandson, Forrest Beebe of Checotah, OK, Bee James Loftin of Atoka, OK; brother, Dan George of Sallisaw, OK; sister, Susan George of Ardmore, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and a GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER ON THE WAY!
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Nadine Elizabeth (Yarbrough) George; first wife, Sylvia Blea George.
