OBITUARY

NAME: Edith Ardinia (Ned) Mobbs, age 80, a long time Atoka County resident, who lived the last few months at the Mary Hurley Manor.

BORN: She was born on Monday, March 30, 1936, to Abe and Lena (Carr) Ned, at Lawton, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Edith passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Coalgate, OK.

AGE: 80 years, 10 months and 18 days.

EDUCATION: She went to grade school in Arizona and McCarty in Coal County. Edith also attended Byng Vocational School of Practical Nursing and graduated in 1974, along with her sister Nina Johnston.

OCCUPATION: Edith worked as a LPN for over 30 years at Coalgate, Canaday and Atoka Colonial Nursing Homes. She also worked at Blue Bell Western and Valley View Hospital in Ada.

MARRIED: She married Alvin Vernon Cagle Sr. until 1977. She later married Marion Mobbs in July of 1978 in Arkansas. She is preceded in death by both husbands.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Edith was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to the Choctaw Nation Senior Citizen Center and other Choctaw Nation activities. Edith enjoyed scrapbooking, she never missed her grandchildren's ballgames, dance recitals, or birthday parties. Her family and grandchildren meant everything to her.
