Edna Christine Sheffield

Edna Christine Sheffield, a Lane, OK resident, was born on Wednesday, June 2, 1943, to Clarence and Alena Ellen (Emmons) Davis, at Atoka, OK. Edna passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026 at her home at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 22 days. She attended High Hill School before graduating from Tushka High School with the class of 1961. Edna then went on to attend LPN classes at Grayson County College. Edna was a Licensed Practical Nurse working for Atoka and Pushmataha County Hospitals, Atoka Manor, Atoka Care Center, and at El Adobe for 20 years. Edna was a member of Lane Baptist Church. She loved to take care of and feed everyone, cooking, cleaning, and working.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Tawanna Osborne and husband Craig of Savanna, OK; sons, Terry Sheffield of Lane, OK, Dale Sheffield and wife Ruthie of Atoka, OK; 9 grandchildren;14 great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Woolf of Tushka, OK; special neighbor, Shirley Deaton; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and dearly loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Alena Ellen (Emmons) Davis; brother, Bud Davis; sisters, Florence Camp, Irene Merritt, Marie White.
