OBITUARY NAME: Elaine Linscott Chappel Fink, age 88, was a lifetime Atoka area resident. BORN: She was born on July 8, 1922 at Ada, Ok. to Gordie Green Linscott and Fannie Ruth Zinn Linscott. PASSED AWAY: Elaine passed away at the Mary Hurley Hospital at Coalgate, Ok. on May 14, 2011 AGE 88 YEARS 10 MONTHS AND 6 DAYS EDUCATION: She attended grade school at Shamrock, Tx. high school at Atoka, Ok., and attended and graduated Southeastern State University of Durant, Ok. OCCUPATION: Elaine retired from Southwestern Bell and taught school at Atoka High School for 25 years, retiring in 1987. She also taught aviation and pilot instruction. MILITARY: MARRIED: She married David W. Chappel in 1947 at Lane, Ok. He preceded her in death in May of 1989. She later married Lon Robert Fink on Sept.16 1991 at Wichita Falls, Tx. and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2010. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Elaine was a 50 year plus member of the Atoka First Baptist Church. She was also active in the Historical Society, Pioneer's Club, Atoka Planning Committee, Yellow Rose Garden Club, Atoka D.V.A. Auxiliary, Atoka Lion's Club, an Eastern Star for over 50 years, Pink Iris Garden Club, Atoka and Oklahoma Retired Teachers Association and Civil War Reenactment Society. SURVIVED BY BROTHER; Bill Linscott and wife Louise of Wardville, Ok. GRAND DAUGHTERS: LaShelle Goff and husband Jeff of Atoka, Ok. Mollie Brand and husband Jeff of McKinney, Tx; April Phillips and Kelly Mullin of Seminole, Ok. Dorothy Aurilia Chappel of Atoka, Ok. GREAT GRAND CHILDREN: David Chappel of Atoka, Nathan Goff of Atoka, Sierah Phillips , Aeden Mullin, Eli Mullin and Lillie Phillips , all of Seminole , Sydney Brand and McKenna Brand , both of McKinney, Tx.
