OBITUARY

NAME: Elaine (Burton) Cooper-Whitt, age 92, a Coalgate resident.

BORN: She was born on April 19, 1924, to Charles and Sally (Holton) Burton, at Speer, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Elaine passed away on June 7, 2016 at Coalgate, OK.

AGE:  92 years, 1 month and 19 days.

EDUCATION: She graduated from Antler's High School. She attended Eastern State College at Wilburton, Oklahoma.

OCCUPATION: Jess and Elaine owned and operated Cooper Drug in Talihina, Ok for thirty years. After Jess's passing in 1986, she worked at the Oklahoma State Tax Commission.

MARRIED: Elaine married Jess L. Cooper II and together they had four children. Jess preceded her in death in 1986. Later she married Frank Whitt of Coalgate and they enjoyed their retirement years together until his passing in 2007.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS:  Elaine was a devoted and loving mother always putting her family first. She was a good friend and treated everyone with kindness and respect. Elaine loved her family most, but she also loved being outdoors. Canoeing, fishing & white water rafting brought her great joy.

A special heartfelt thanks to all of Elaine's caregivers~~who tirelessly gave of themselves.

Along with numerous other relatives and many dear & loved friends.
