Eldonna Carrie (Nelson) Carney, age 74, a Durant, OK resident, was born on Friday, February 4, 1949, to Theodore and Carrie Dona (Tekubie) Nelson, at Oklahoma City, OK. Eldonna passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Colbert, OK. She attended Sequoyah High School. Eldonna was a seamstress for Wrangler's. She was a member of Grace Indian Baptist Church in Durant. Eldonna loved to run with her sister, sew, going to the casino, and most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Camp and Salomon Pedraza of Durant, OK, Charlotte Cooper of Altus, OK, Gina Allen McGehee and husband Garth of Anna, TX; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Nathan Nelson of Atoka, OK, Uhla 'Shady' Nelson of Lane, OK, James Nelson of Lane, OK, TR Nelson Jr. of Silo, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of many dear friends. Eldonna was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Carrie Dona (Tekubie) Nelson; children, Jonathan William Allen, Michelle Allen, Eric Dewayne Allen; great grandson, Da'mani Josue Brooks; siblings, Naomi Moore, Arnold Nelson, Calvin Nelson, Marvin Harvick
