Elfriede French, 80, was a resident of many places, near and far. She was born in Austria, gew up in Germany and came to the United States as a wife to Elmer Leo French and a young mother to Marcus. Later moving to California, she had Lucia before the family came South, living in Texas and then Oklahoma. Elfriede "Elfi" was a nurse, a school teacher and then a hospice nurse, always serving and loving others.
Elfi is survived by her son, Marcus French; daughter, Lucia Zafar; granddaughters, Maliha and Sofiya; son in law, Arshad Zafar; along with many beloved family members here and overseas.
Elfi was preceded in death by her parents, Franz and Eva Autschin and lost her beloved husband Elmer last November.
The love she had for others will reach far beyond her earthly life.
