Elgin James Justus, age 85, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Friday, December 23, 1938, to Ernest and Lora (Penny) Justus, at Atoka County, OK. Elgin passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Denison, TX after a lengthy battle with Leukemia. He attended several grade schools and high  schools while his family traveled immensely following the work. Elgin was a heavy equipment operator for Atoka county District #2, City Water Dept and worked for INCA for 20 years where he just retired. He married Lois Ann (Bagby) on Friday, December 29th, 1978 at Atoka, OK. They enjoyed 46 years of marriage before his passing. Elgin was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, mowing, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Elgin is survived by his wife, Lois Ann Justus of the home in Atoka, OK; children, Mike and Glenda, Mark and Vickie, Keith and Kristy, Teresa, Brian, Kim; brothers, Dward, Herschell; sister, Laveta; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Elgin was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lora (Penny) Justus; son, Michael Justus; brothers,     Travis, Herman, David, Everett, Thyran; sister, Maretta.
