Eliza "Liz" Elizabeth Smithart, age 73, a Atoka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, March 17, 1940, to James and Alice Lee (Jacob) Hicks, at Talihina, OK. Eliza passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Durant, OK. She attended Sequoia school then graduated Atoka High School in 1959. Eliza was a Cook at the Tushka Truck Stop and workd at the Tushka School Cafeteria for 9 years. She married Charles Allen Duncan in July of 1959 in Atoka, OK. he preceded her in death in 1968. Eliza then Billy Smithart in February 1978 in Caddo, OK. he preceded her in death in 1982. She enjoyed sewing blankets, needlepoint, and painting. Eliza is survived by his children, Charles Allen Duncan Jr. of Tushka, OK., Jack Wayne Duncan of Tushka, OK., Pat Blankenship and husband Blake of Norman, OK.; grandchildren, Eric Chase Duncan of South Carolina, Cassandra Nicole Duncan of Spokane, WA., Charles Allen Duncan, III of Tushka, OK., Lauren Blankenship of Norman, OK., Aaron Blankenship of Norman, OK., Zane Blankenship of Norman, OK., Kristen Michell Martin of Spokane, WA.; stepsons, Bobby Smithart and wife Rhonda of Tushka, OK., John Smithart of Atoka, OK., Wayne Smithart of Tulsa, OK.; siblings, William Hicks of Atoka, OK., Harold Hicks and wife Anita of Allen, OK., Johnny Hodges and Laura Readon of Willdomar, CA., Betty Freeman of Lewisville, TX., Lois Hicks of Lane, OK.
