Ellis Edward Farley, a long time Coalgate resident, was born on April 23, 1954, to Edward Henry and Loretta Mae (Phipps) Farley, at Coalgate, OK. He passed away on September 14, 2023 at Coalgate, Oklahoma, at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 22 days. Ellis graduated from Coalgate High School Class of '72. He worked as a deck hand in the Oilfield. Ellis married Tammie Barnett on February 22, 1974, and together they had two beautiful children. He was of the Baptist Faith. Ellis enjoyed hunting, fishing and arrowhead hunting.
