OBITUARY
Elsie Jean (Hucks) Coffman-Penick, age 82, a lifelong Atoka, OK area resident, but has lived the last 3 years at Ruth Hurley Manor in Coalgate, OK was born on Monday, July 26, 1937, to Thomas Brent and Elsie Savannah (Nelson) Hucks, at Wynnewood, OK. Jean passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Coalgate, OK. She attended Chigley School in Garvin County. Jean worked at Cates Jewelry for over 30 years before retiring in 2003. She married Lonnie E. Coffman and later married John Penick. Jean later had a companion, Marvin Butts, for over 20 years before his passing. Jean was raised Assembly of God and attended Farris Congregation and attended Wards Chapel Baptist Church. She loved having garage sales, attending them and flea markets all over the state. Jean loved to cook.

Jean is survived by her son, Emmitt Coffman and wife Alfreda of Farris, OK; grandchildren, Veronica Jackson and husband Travis of Silo, OK, T. J. Coffman of Farris, OK, Jeffery Coffman of Wheatridge, Co ; step grandchildren,  Alan Price and wife Serena of Caddo, OK, Brenda McCormack and husband John of Guthrie, OK, Robert Penick and wife Lola of Nixa, MO, Gary Penick and wife Kelli of Katy, TX; great grandchildren, Alissa Coffman and Companion Gavin Ott of Coalgate, OK, Emily Coffman of Farris, OK, Nicholas Coffman of Farris, OK, Amelia Jackson of Silo, OK, Trevor Jackson of Silo, OK; step great grandchildren, Corey Price and Companion Chelsey Morris of Caddo, OK, Nathan Price of Coalgate, OK, Tyler of Coalgate, OK, Colton Price of Caddo, OK, Chloe Price of Caddo, OK; great great grandchildren, Kendyl Lytle of Coalgate, OK, Kyleigh Ott of Coalgate, OK; step great great grandchildren, Addie Leow of Caddo, OK, Kaylor Dougherty of Durant, OK; step daughter in law, Annie Penick of Atoka, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Brent and Elsie Savannah (Nelson) Hucks; husbands, Lonnie Coffman and John Penick; companion, Marvin Butts; sisters, Gardie Lee, Bethene Varber, Mary Knight, Willie Bartlelt. Sue James; brother, Dennis Hucks; stepson, Lloyd Penick.
