OBITUARY NAME: Emily Marion (Forbes) Malone, age 88, a longtime Atoka area resident BORN: She was born on March 29, 1922 to Albert Marion and Frances Belle (Weaver) Forbes in Girard, Alabama. PASSED AWAY: She passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Atoka Memorial Hospital. AGE 88 YEARS 5 MONTHS AND 26 DAYS EDUCATION: Emily attended schools in Columbus, GA. MARRIED: She married Bill Malone on March 7, 1941 at Columbus, GA. OCCUPATION: She was a homemaker. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES, AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Emily was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atoka where she taught the Women's Esther Class for many years. She was a leader in the Girls Auxiliary, Young Women's Auxiliary, and the Women's Missionary Society. She was also involved with the women's prison ministry. Emily was a longtime member of the Pink Iris Garden Club. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. SURVIVED BY HUSBAND: Bill Malone of Atoka, OK DAUGHTER: Beverly Ogle of Spring, TX GRANDSON: Bruce Ogle and wife Christine of Stillwater, OK BROTHER: Lt. Col. William Albert Forbes of Washington D.C. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many dear and loving friends.
