Eric Lee Rector, age 45, a lifelong Atoka area resident, was born on Thursday, July 28, 1977, to Bobby Lee and Judy Mae (Tomlinson) Rector, at Antlers, OK. Eric passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Lane, OK. He attended Lane Grade School, graduated from Atoka High School in 1997 and went on to attend Southeastern Oklahoma University and also attended Kiamichi Area Vo-Tech where he studied Electronics. Eric worked for McDonald's, Solo Cups, Griffin Feed and later Tyson Foods in McAlester. Eric proudly served his country in The U.S. Navy. He married Suzanna Lei (Billings) on Monday, February 4th, 2013 at Atoka, OK. They celebrated 9 years of marriage before his passing. Eric was a member of Lane Church of Christ. He liked fishing, football and playing golf.
Eric is survived by his wife, Suzanna Lei Rector of the home in Lane, OK; son, Patrick Lee Rector of Atoka, OK; father, Bobby Rector and wife Laura of Lane, OK; brother, Keven Rector and wife Kala of Harmony, OK; nieces and nephews, Alexis Leflore, Tyler Leflore, Zachary Rector, Keden Rector, Mallie, Xayden, Legend and Legion Gardner; stepbrother, Jacob Gardner and wife Falicity of Stonewall, OK; mother in law, Frances Mozelle Lameiy of Antlers, OK; along with aunts, uncles, other relatives and many dear friends.
Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Mae Hemmings; father in law, Vernon Allen Billings Sr.; paternal grandparents, Mart and Vera Rector; maternal grandparents, Oca and Mary Tomlinson.
