OBITUARY
NAME: Ernest "Ernie" Irvin Griffin, age 81, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, who also resided in El Salvador.
BORN: He was born on Sunday, July 1, 1934, to James A. and Osa (Barton) Griffin, at Binger, OK.
PASSED AWAY: Ernie passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at San Salvador, El Salvador.
AGE: 81 years, 7 months and 13 days.
EDUCATION: He attended schools in Oklahoma City and Fanshawe.
OCCUPATION: Ernie was a business owner, who owned 3-Way Oil Co., many superettes and many other businesses, Big Bear Construction, and Atoka Equipment. He was on Atoka City Council, Atoka Hospital Board, and Atoka Housing Authority.
MILITARY: Ernie proudly served his country in the Navy.
MARRIED: He married Kaye Burns, she preceded him in death. Ernie later married Cynthia Adams.
CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Ernie was a Christian and a member of First Christian Church in Atoka as well as a member of Stringtown Baptist Church; a member of Promise Keepers. Ernie built many homes and churches in El Salvador for the underpriviledged. He also provided feeding stations for children in El Salvador called "3 Way for Children." He was affiliated with "Feed the Children."

Phoenix Vandiver of Checotah, OK
along with numerous nieces, nephews, loyal employees other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
