Eugene Allen, age 84, a Stringtown, OK resident for the last 10 years, was raised at Boggy Depot, and lived in Kansas many years. He was born on Sunday, May 9, 1937, to Virgil Fay and Essie Loraine (Heffington) Allen, at Atoka, OK.
Eugene passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Atoka, OK. He attended Atoka High School. Eugene was a farmer, drove a school bus for Atoka Schools, operated a bull dozer for Dist 1 Atoka County and worked as a mechanic for Albert Furr Motors. He married Wilma Faye (Hurt) on Saturday, August 27th, 1960 at Atoka Baptist Church in Atoka, OK. They celebrated 61 years of marriage before his passing. Eugene attended First Baptist Church of Stringtown. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering, mechanics, puzzles, hunting, football, and quilting.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Wilma Faye Allen of the home in Stringtown, OK; children, Freddie Allen of Maud, OK, Debbie Howard of Lakin, KS; grandchildren, Misty Allen of Edmond, OK, Jared Allen of Hayes, KS, Christina Allen of Sayre, OK, Donna Moxley of Seligman, MO, Steven Howard of Lakin, KS; great grandchildren, Riley Wynn, Katerina Howard, Chrissy Howard, Gabriel Moxley, Chele Howard, Nancy Faye Howard; great great grandchildren, Kianna Smith, Sawyer Wynn, Lainey Wynn; sisters in law, Katherine Hayes, Linda Snead, Geraldene Loudermilk, Billie Robinson; brother in law, Gerald Hurt.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Fay and Essie Loraine (Heffington) Allen; great granddaughter, Alexandria Moxley; brothers, Ross Allen, Virgil Allen.
