Eugene "Gene" Leanord Brooks, age 64, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, January 3, 1954, to Leanord and Nadine L. (Greenwood) Brooks, at Atoka, OK.
Gene passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Durant, OK. He attended Atoka Public School. Gene was a dishwasher for the local restaurants. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.
Gene is survived by his siblings, Blanche Crooms of Atoka, OK, Lena Mae Riley and companion Kevin Bowen of Atoka, OK, Rose Brooks and Tommy Gage of Atoka, OK, Phil Brooks and Terry of Atoka, OK, Willie B. Brooks of Atoka, OK, Larry Brooks of Atoka, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Leanord and Nadine L. (Greenwood) Brooks; brothers, Leonard Herman Brooks, Tony Lee Brooks, Adell Brooks, David Lee Brooks; grandparents, Blanche and Henry Penny Greenwood, Mose  Brooks and step grandma Lettie Riggs Brooks.
