Ezra "Ed" Edward Caldwell Jr., age 68, a Summerville, SC resident formerly of Atoka, OK, was born on Friday, February 3, 1950, to Ezra Edward and Ethel Juanita (Goforth) Caldwell Sr., at Tarrant County, TX. Ed passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Summerville, SC. He graduated Atoka High School in 1968 and was an honor graduate from SOSU in 1975 with his Bachelor's in Math with minors in Management and Accounting; then received his Master's in Education/Math in July 1980. He then earned a Computer degree from Del Mar College in 1990. Ed was a teacher and was also employed as a supervisor with Wireline in Texas and was a technician with Diebold in Charleston, SC. Ed proudly served his country in the Air Force as an Airborne Electronic Navigational Equipment Repairman. He married Grace Dianne (Ott) on Thursday, November 25th, 2004, they were together for 18 years. Ed was a member of Summerville Baptist Church, and Oklahoma Masonic Lodge #4 of Atoka. He enjoyed woodworking and crocheting. Ed was the kindest, most patient, giving man any of us has ever known. He could talk with anyone and either had knowledge of or experience in what one was talking about or knew of someone who did. He loved to talk about life experiences, history and the Bible.
Ed is survived by his wife, Grace Dianne Caldwell of the home in Summerville, SC; sons, Sean Caldwell of Conroe, TX, Chris Caldwell and wife Lisa of Kingwood, TX; step sons, Travis Westbury and wife Melissa of Summerville, SC, Kevin Westbury and wife Krista of Summerville, SC, Keith Wickizer and wife Lindsey of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, Michael Caldwell of Seabrook, TX, Brennan Caldwell of Seabrook, TX, Ezekiel Caldwell of Kingwood, TX, Riley Caldwell of Conroe, TX, Hazel Caldwell of Kingwood, TX, Kayla Westbury Horne and husband Austin of Ft. Stewart, GA, Sam Westbury of Summerville, SC, Mason Westbury of Summerville, SC, Ryan Westbury of Summerville, SC, Ashton Westbury of Summerville, SC, Aiden Wickizer of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Henm Wickizer of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sisters, Pat Meadows and husband Ronald of Sand Springs, OK, Joyce Bevel of Ada, OK, Edith Isbell and husband Tim of Terlton, OK, Mary Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Roger Reynolds and wife Jan of Oklahoma City, OK; along with nieces and a nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Ezra Edward and Ethel Juanita (Goforth) Caldwell Sr.; ex wife, Bevely Sue Benham.
