Fannie Georgina (Roberts) Stephens, 86, of Atoka, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, in Coalgate, Oklahoma.

Georgina was born on April 30, 1940, in Stringtown, Oklahoma, to Robert Dudley Roberts and Johnnie Sue (Raines) Roberts.

Georgina dedicated many years of her life to serving others. Her first job was a nurse's aid at Brocks Nursing Home in Atoka, until her marriage to Herbert where she help him as an electrician assistant. Also babysat children in her home. Later worked in the kitchen and classroom at Inca Community Services, where she was known for her hard work and caring nature, Georgina also provided housekeeping services for residents there also.

On April 30, 1970, she married the love of her life, Herbert Cletus Stephens, in Atoka, Oklahoma. They shared many wonderful years together until his passing on January 18, 1987.

Georgina was of the Jehovah faith and was a devoted member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed crafting, painting, drawing, working puzzles, crocheting, watching animals, and spending time with her beloved family. She enjoyed making everyone she cared about her famous peanut butter cookies. Fannie was known as a very sweet and special lady whose kindness touched everyone she met.

Fannie is survived by her stepsons, Daniel Stephens, David Stephens; nieces, Cindy Muse and husband Jimmy of Atoka, OK, Regina Weedn of Garland, TX, Chris Savage and husband Chad of Garland, TX, Dyanna Shoemake and husband David of Irving, TX; numerous other relatives and dear friends.

Fannie is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Dudley Roberts and Johnnie Sue (Raines) Roberts; sisters, Doris Joan Williams, Dorothy Carpenter, Betty Louise Fryer; brothers, Robert Duley Jr., Melton Eugene Roberts.
