Faye Callicoat, age 98, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Friday, February 8, 1924, to Elonzo "Lonnie" Wesley and Emma Ethel (Taylor) Brown, at Coalgate, OK. Faye passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Atoka, OK. She attended Roff School. Faye was a co-owner of Callicoat Grocery and Meat Processing. She was also a housewife and homemaker. She married Cecil Callicoat on Sunday, February 9th, 1941 at Durant, OK. They spent 61 wonderful years together before his passing in 2002. Faye was a member of Full Gospel Church of Atoka, and was very dedicated to her church. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and taking care of her grandchildren.
Faye is survived by her sons Loyd Callicoat and wife Lauri of Atoka, OK, Terry Don Callicoat and wife Barbara of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Terry Shawn Callicoat of Atoka, OK, Tammy Dawn Callicoat of Atoka, OK, Brett Callicoat and wife Shelly of Atoka, OK, Amy Callicoat Harbin and husband Roger of Checotah, OK, Doug Lewis and wife Regina of Atoka, OK, Chris Lewis and wife Jackie of Atoka, OK, Steve Lewis and wife Kirsten of Lane, OK, Nathan Loyd Callicoat of Atoka, OK, Jacob Loyd Callicoat and wife Bailey of Atoka, OK; 14 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; sister in law, Virginia French of Oklahoma City, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elonzo and Emma Ethel (Taylor) Brown; husband, Cecil Callicoat; daughter, Renay Lewis; sisters,Alene Smith, Oleta Winborn, Maxine Bagby, Bonnie Sue Brown; brothers, Jake Brown, David Brown, Carl Brown; grandson, Ethan Loyd Callicoat; great grandson, Judson Cash Duncan.
