Fern (Erwin) Thompson, age 87, a lifelong Stringtown, OK resident. She was born on Wednesday, November 13, 1935, to Ernest and Ellen (Ramey) Erwin, at Blanco, OK. Fern passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Atoka, OK. She attended Kiowa Public Schools. Fern was a Housewife and Mother. She married Audie Horace Thompson Jr. on Saturday, September 9th, 1961 at Durant, OK. They enjoyed 54 years of marriage before his passing in 2016. Fern loved music and her Persian/Siamese cat "Ho Ho." She also enjoyed sewing.
Fern is survived by her daughter, Ellen Thompson and husband Steve Abreo of Stringtown, OK; sons, Stephen Thompson of Stringtown, OK, Randy Thompson and wife Shelly of Bentley, OK, Jason Thompson and wife Jerica of Coalgate, OK; sister, Lavern Barret of Grand Prairie, TX; daughter-in-law, Jana Thompson of Stringtown, OK,
along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren , and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Audie Horace Thompson Jr.; son, Audie Don Thompson; parents, Ernest and Ellen (Ramey) Erwin; sisters, Geneva, Ernestine, Judy; brothers, John, Harry, Clarence, Autry, LJ
