Obituary Fred Duke age 94, a longtime Atoka area resident, was born on October 24, 1916, to Samuel Roger and Nellie Kathryn (Glenn) Duke, at Winters, Texas. Fred passed away on June 2, 2011 at Durant, Ok. He attended Grapevine Schools. Fred was a truck driver, a farmer/rancher and a member of Teamsters 745 Dallas. He retired in 1969. Fred married Beatrice Iva (Tomlinson) on September 21, 1956 at Atoka, Ok. she preceded him in death in 1987. He married Clovis Lavada (Belvin) on September 24, 1988 in Coal County, Ok. Fred was a member of the Coalgate Seventh Day Adventist and Teamsters local union # 745. Fred is survived by his wife, Lavada Duke of the home in Atoka, Ok.; step-children, Delores Lewis and husband Gaylon of Stratford, Ok., Pamela Cole and husband Terry of Coalgate, Ok., James Frazier and wife Vickie of Coalgate, Ok., Joni Gonzalez of Purcell, Ok., Rebecca Pickens and husband Eugene of Coalgate, Ok., William Frazier and wife Shelia of Atoka, Ok., Stephen Frazier and wife Marquette of Wardville, Ok., Lucinda Kuykendall and husband Billy of Cartwright, Ok.; nieces, Frankie Jean Milner and husband George of Dallas, Tx., Judy Herriman and husband Eldon of Burleson, Tx., Nancy McPhail Ward and husband John of Leominster, Ma.; nephew, Bobby Lee Duke and wife Emma of Bartonville, Tx.; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Roger and Nellie Kathryn (Glenn) Duke; wife, Beatrice Iva (Tomlinson) Duke; brothers, James Roger Duke and Albert Lee Duke; sister, Mildred Mary Forshee and Opal Pauline McPhail; nephew, Jeremy Glen McPhail, Jimmy McPhail, and J.R. Duke; niece, Beverly (Burns) Evans; step-child, Carolyn Hall-Ned.
