Fred Ronald Mobbs, age 79, a Durant, OK resident, raised in Bentley, lived in Wylie, TX before moving to Sherman, TX.
He was born on Friday, February 2, 1940, to Ralph Fred and Susie B. (Childs) Mobbs, at Bentley, OK. Fred passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at his home in Durant, OK. He attended East Allison and Bentley grade school and graduated from Atoka High School in 1958. Fred worked in construction doing taping, bedding and texturing. He married Jean (Thomas) on Monday, December 24th, 1962 at Tushka, OK. They have enjoyed 56 years of marriage. Fred was raised in the baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, loved watching TV as long as he had control of the remote, loved planting and grafting trees, gardening, and hunting for buckeyes.
Fred is survived by his wife, Jean Mobbs of the home in Durant, OK; children, Fred Ronald Mobbs Jr. of Durant, OK, Kellie Mobbs Lowry and husband Fred of Bentley, OK; grandchildren, Staci Mercado and husband Adam of Texas, Allison Mobbs of Terlton, OK, Samantha Lowry of Atoka, OK, Ronnie Lowry of Atoka, OK; great grandchildren; Gage Mercado, Hunter Wayne Mobbs; sister, Freda Leuty and husband Hershal of Bentley, OK; brothers, Ray Mobbs and wife Melba of Atoka, OK, Roy Mobbs and wife Shirley of Bentley, OK, Randy Mobbs and wife Linda of Muskogee, OK; aunt, Mildred Eldridge of Tushka, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Susie Mobbs; brother, Ralph Dale Mobbs; nephews, Mike Mobbs, James Mobbs.
