Freda Louise (Carnes) Ott, a Coalgate resident, was born on March 8, 1941, to Ellis Sr and Evelyn (Bohanon) Carnes, at Talihina, Oklahoma. She passed away on December 2, 2023 at her home in Coalgate, Oklahoma, at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 24 days. Louise attended school at Coalgate. She was a field office worker for Choctaw Nation for many years. Before she began working for Choctaw Nation, she worked at Wrangler for many years. Louise married Elder Virgil Oliver Ott on August 14, 1957, at Coalgate. They were married 52 years before his passing on May 10, 2010. Louise was a longtime member of the Lonestar Church. She loved being outdoors working in her garden. Louise like to go shopping and enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved her Choctaw heritage and was a big part of the District 12 Senior Citizen's group. Louise had a special bond with her dog, Peanut. Most of all, Louise loved her family and enjoyed taking care of them.
