Gale "Duane" Humphreys, age 69, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Friday, February 15, 1952, to Delmer Leonard and Betty Jean (Arnett) Humphreys, at Thomas, OK. Duane passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Durant, OK. He attended High School. Duane was a man of many talents. He married Ronda (Brooks) on Tuesday, November 18th, 1969 at Wichita Falls, TX. They celebrated 51 and a half years of marriage before his passing. Duane was a christian. He enjoyed welding, making things with kids, woodworking, making jewelry with rocks, log furniture, taxidermy, and most of all loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Duane is survived by his wife, Ronda Humphreys of the home in Atoka, OK; daughters, Shalee Wise and husband Lee of Kingston, OK, Tammy Williams and significant other Oather Gray of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Dalton Williams and wife Autumn of Atoka, OK, Brandon Wise of Kingston, OK, Jordan Wise of Kingston, OK, Kyle Wise of Kingston, OK, Natalie Gray of Stillwater, OK; great grandchildren, Grayslynn Williams of Atoka, OK, Daitan Williams of Atoka, OK, William Holt of Atoka, OK, Gabriel Gregory of Atoka, OK, Gunner Lopez of Atoka, OK, Grizzly Lopez of Atoka, OK; mother, Betty Jean Humphreys of Chickasha, OK; sisters, Jean Ross and husband Roy of Carnegie, OK, Judy Martin and husband Ray of Newcastle, OK, Sue Chaney and husband Jackie of Chickasha, OK, Barbara Anthony and husband Larry of Snellville, GA; mother in law, Frankie Durington of Chickasha, OK; special friends, Dale and Dora Rodgers of Chickasha, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Duane was preceded in death by his father, Delmer Leonard Humphreys; special nephew, Linny Petty.
