Garrett "Garry" Monroe Roberts Jr., age 70, a longtime Colorado resident and moved to Centerpoint around 12 years ago, was born on Saturday, June 28, 1947, to Garrett Monroe Sr. and Betty Jo (Dennis) Roberts, at Choctaw County, OK.
Garry passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Atoka, OK. He attended Soper and graduated Kermit High School in Texas. Garry was a maintenance worker in the mines in Colorado, was a mechanic and owned his own repair shop where he retired. He was disabled in a motorcycle wreck. Garry was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, made guns, bows and arrow, black powder guns, and tinkering on cars.
Garry is survived by his cousins, Jerry Dennis of Soper, OK, Diane Dancer and husband James of Boswell, OK, Eddie Holzman and wife Edwinna of Calera, OK; step daughter, Misti Langley and fiancé of Perkins, OK; ex wife, Darla Langley of Atoka, OK; along with many dear and loved friends in and around the Centerpoint area.
Garry is preceded in death by his parents, Garrett and Betty Jo (Dennis) Roberts.
