Gary John McKee, age 69, a longtime Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Thursday, October 28, 1954, to Charles Baston and Ruth Lahoma (Sanders) McKee, at Del Rio, TX. Gary passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Dallas, TX. He graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 1973 and went on to attend college. Gary was a Dialysis Tech for Fresenius until he retired in 2017. Gary proudly served his country in The United States Army for 23 years. He married Jeanette (Pfeifler) on Sunday, August 6th, 1989 at Omaha, NE. They celebrated almost 35 years of marriage before his passing. Gary was a member of Atoka United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working on leather, welding. He made a lot of coasters and belts for people, loved watching his children, Karyn and Gary Jamar play sports.
Gary is survived by his wife, Jeanette McKee of the home in Atoka, OK; daughters, Nicole Pfeifler, Alanna Pfeifler-McKee of Omaha, NE, Danielle Lynn Degner of Omaha, NE, Karyn McKee of Atoka, OK; son, Gary Jamar McKee of Tahlequah, OK; granddaughters, Grace McKee of Omaha, NE, Norah McKee of Omaha, NE, Ariana Ruiz of Omaha, NE; along with numerous nieces and nephews, that he loved, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Lahoma (Sanders) McKee; sister, Bobbie Holland.
