Gay (McInnis) Barnett, age 82, a Coalgate resident. She was born on February 28, 1938, to C.R. & Katherine (Maloney) McInnis in Coalgate, OKGay passed away on August 19, 2020 at her home in Coalgate, OK. She attended Coalgate Schools and graduated in 1956, and then attended ECU majoring in drama.Gay was a housewife and owned and operated Palace Drug Store. She married Thomas Ray Barnett on June 26, 1956 at the Coalgate Methodist Church, he preceded her in death on Nov. 5th 2012

Gay was a member of the Coalgate Methodist Church and Cornerstone Praise & Worship Center. Gay enjoyed painting, crafts & music. She used to sing with her dad at churches all around and she was in a musical & productions in Eureka Springs. One of Gay's greatest treasures was spending time with her family,laughing and loving on each other.
