George Opal Bicknell, age 91, a longtime Tushka, OK resident, was born on Sunday, August 30, 1931, to Elmer and Kittie (Goss) Bicknell, at Stringtown, OK. George passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 at his home in Tushka, OK. He attended Redden and Atoka Public Schools, received his GED in the Army and then went on to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University. George was a Heating and Air Conditioning mechanic, carpenter and all around handyman. George proudly served his country in The Army during the Korean conflict. He married Dessie Illene (Dillard) on Sunday, October 7th, 1951 at Sherman, TX. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before her passing on April 14, 2014.
George was a Deacon at Southside Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, doing home repairs, and building things for his family and loved ones.
George is survived by his daughter, Debi Huddleston and husband Allen of Tushka, OK; grandchildren, Dede Pritchett of Tushka, OK, Josh Bicknell and wife April of Schererville, IN, JB Pritchett and wife Apryl of Jenks, OK, Katrina Sigstad and husband Josh of Crown Point, IN; sister, Shirley Sexton and husband Tim of Durant, OK; great grandchildren, Shyenna Ivie and husband Jason, Beth Johnson and husband Kyle, Brittany Dowdy and husband Ben, Emma Bicknell, Kallie Bicknell, Colton Sigstad, Kaitlyn Sigstad, Carter Sigstad, Graham Sigstad, Saylor Pritchett, Jordan Pritchett, Addyson Pritchett; great great grandchildren, Colt Ivie, Nolan Johnson, Luke Ivie; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Kittie (Goss) Bicknell; wife, Illene Bicknell; sons, Tommy Bicknell, Wayne Bicknell; siblings, Roy Bicknell, Buck Bicknell, Burnice Miller, Ann Tomlinson, Dean Bicknell, Lloyd Crowder, Walter Crowder.
