George Lee Grothe, age 63, a Caddo, OK resident was raised in Arizona and Lane, OK. He was born on Wednesday, April 27, 1960, to Robert Lee and Margaret Roxanne (Brittan) Grothe, at Durango, CO. George passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Durant, OK. He attended Lane and Atoka Public Schools. George was a Heavy Equipment Operator for pipeline construction and dirt work. He was a christian and was spiritual. George loved to "junk", build something out of nothing, fishing, hunting and visit with his loved ones.
George is survived by his longtime companion, Sherry Wilson of the home in Caddo, OK; sons, Jared Grothe of Caddo, OK, James Grothe of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Lilly Ann Grothe and Lane Michael Grothe; siblings, Linda Cooper of Phoenix, AZ, Sherry Grothe of Lane, OK, Sheryl Grothe of Lane, OK, JoAnn Howard of Lane, OK, Joanie Votaw of Lane, OK, J.B. Grothe and wife Robbie of Lane, OK, Teresa Myers and husband Travis of Dickson, OK, Darla Jean Jennings and husband Steve of Florida; uncle, Clarence Grothe and wife Linda of Farmington, NM; aunt, Louise Woodring of Kalispell, MT; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Margaret Roxanne (Brittan) Grothe.
