George "Mike" Michael Jones, age 64, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, lived several years in Conway, MO, was born on Wednesday, January 1, 1958, to James Wendell and Doris Ann (Thompson) Jones, at San Antonio, TX. Mike passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at his home in Atoka, OK. He attended Atoka High School. He enjoyed playing baseball where he was hind catcher. Mike was a carpenter. He married Vickie Flores and later married Carol (Fritz) on Monday, July 19th, 1993 at Hartville, MO. Mike was affiliated with Stringtown First Baptist Church. He volunteered with the Atoka County Veterans, enjoyed building model cars, collecting tools, watching westerns, and horse sculptures.
Mike is survived by his wife, Carol Jones of Conway, MO; children, Kalub Jones and wife Kayleen of Amarillo, TX, Greg Jones and wife Lindsey of Canyon, TX, Rochelle Pothier and husband Roman of Harker Heights, TX, Candice Milford and husband Tommie of Conway, MO, John Lucus of Oregon, Eric Lucus and Melissa Parsons of Conway, MO; grandchildren, Madison Jones, Allysun Jones, Lynzie Jones, Isaiah Jones, Harper Jones, Jeremiah Arnold, Charisma Arnold, Chloe Straley, Zach Lucus, Jonathan Lucus Erica Milford, Tali Milford, Weslee Lucus, Davin Lucus, Hardy Lucus; sisters, Rebecca Jones of Atoka, OK, Annis Sanders and husband Buddy of Atoka, OK; uncle, Danny Thompson and wife Barbara of Talihina, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, James Wendell and Doris Ann (Thompson) Jones; brothers, Mark Jones, Jimmy Jones; nephew, Dyllan Sanders.
