George Wayne Mote, age 68, a McAlester, OK resident. He was born on Sunday, June 19, 1955, to Thad L. and Gladys (Goddard) Mote, at Hartshorne, OK. George passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Tulsa, OK. He attended Pittsburg Public School. George was a tool fisher for the oil fields. George proudly served his country in The Army. He married Donna Sue (Garside) on Friday, February 9th, 1973 at Sherman, TX. They celebrated 48 years of marriage before her passing on September 2, 2021. George was of the christian faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, loved to ride his Harley, an avid arrowhead hunter and tinkering on old cars.
George is survived by his sisters, Mary Shannon and husband Gale of Kiowa, OK, Janie Caldwell and husband Wayne of Kiowa, OK, Annie Schwarz of Bullard, TX; special nephew he loved like a son, Jace Robinson of Ukiah, CA; nephews, Bryan and Barbie Shannon, T.J. and Pat Shannon, David Schwarz, Joe and Susanne Schwarz, Tim and Elizabeth Schwarz, Shane and Chanell Mote; sister in law, Susane Mote of Arkansas; uncle, Walter Goddard of Oklahoma City, OK; along with great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Thad L. and Gladys (Goddard) Mote; wife, Donna Sue Mote; brother, William Mote.
