AGE: 84 years, 1 month and 7 days. EDUCATION: George E. Newberry attended school at Limestone Gap, and East Central University, where he recieved his Bachelors & Masters degree. OCCUPATION: George was a School Teacher for Coalgate High School for many years MILITARY: He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War and a member of the VFW MARRIED: He married Ruth "Vonnie" Yvonne Sexton on March 16, 1951 in Mena, AR, she preceded him in death on Oct. 21, 2013 CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: He was a Deacon for the First Baptist Church for many years.
