Georgia Estelle (Smith) Lawrence, a Coalgate resident, was born on January 10, 1947, to George Elvin and Reba Estelle (Brasfield) Smith, at Cotton Clinic in Atoka, OK. Georgia grew up near Chockie, Oklahoma. Georgia passed away on March 24, 2022 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 14 days. She attended school at Lime Stone Gap then attended and graduated from Kiowa High School in the Class of '65. Georgia was a secretary for the Coal County Conservation District retiring in 2006 after 40 years of service. She married Allen Lee Lawrence on September 19, 1970 at Ada, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2015. They were blessed with 45 wonderful years together. Georgia grew up in the Pentecostal Faith going to church at Tipperary and Chockie. She was baptized in Buck Creek. Georgia loved fishing, reading, watching sports and following her family's activities on Facebook. She was a Nascar fan. Georgia was a loyal worker and loved her family.
